🚨UPDATE | LAMU SET FOR KSh13 BILLION PALM OIL INVESTMENT, 3,000 JOBS

Lamu is set to receive a major KSh13 billion palm oil investment, with a proposed processing plant at Witu Nyangoro Ranch expected to create about 3,000 jobs and strengthen Kenya’s local palm oil industry.

Kenya currently spends an estimated KSh130 billion annually importing crude palm oil. If finalised, the project could boost local farming, create new business opportunities, expand value addition and reduce the country’s reliance on imports.

The investment is still being finalised, but its implementation could significantly transform agriculture and manufacturing in Lamu County.

Fafi MP Salah Yakub has condemned the disruption of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s rally in Garissa, describing the incident as “uncultured, uncivilized and undemocratic.”

Yakub said the rally at Al-Waqf was ultimately successful and affirmed that all political parties and political formations are welcome in Garissa County.
