Hon Philip Kipkosgei Kiprutto Speech Today after assumption Of Office.
I stand before you today with profound humility and deep gratitude. I begin by thanking Almighty God, whose grace and favour have made this moment possible. It is by His guidance that we gather here today to honour the call to leadership and renew our commitment to public service.
To the resilient and visionary people of Metkei Ward, I extend my heartfelt appreciation. Your trust is a privilege I hold dearly. To my family, friends, and all who offered support, prayers, and encouragement throughout this journey-your belief in me has strengthened my resolve to serve with diligence and honour.
Allow me also to make a special acknowledgment to the Speaker Hon Valuer Kibire Lawi . Your elevation to the position of Speaker of this honorable house opened the door for me to serve in this House as the representative of Metkei Ward. I express my sincere gratitude for this opportunity.
I am equally grateful to my colleques honorable Members of the Second and Third Assembly for the support and goodwill they extended to me during this journey. Your guidance and encouragement have not gone unnoticed. I am also grateful to the Clerk of the Assembly and esteemed staffs.
As I assume this responsibility, I solemnly pledge to execute my duties with integrity, impartiality, and unwavering dedication. I commit to representing all residents of Metkei without bias and to ensuring that every voice—big or small—is heard, respected, and valued.
Metkei Ward stands at the threshold of immense opportunity. Our people deserve rapid, meaningful, and transformative development. I intend to work collaboratively within this House to fast-track projects that uplift livelihoods, strengthen communities, and open pathways to prosperity.
Improving infrastructure will be a central pillar of my agenda. Our roads, public facilities, ECDEs, and community institutions must reflect the aspirations of our people. Development thrives where accessibility, quality, and reliability are guaranteed.
To our hardworking farmers—the backbone of our local economy—I encourage renewed investment in cash crop farming and the adoption of modern, value-driven agricultural practices. With the right support and innovation, Metkei can become a model of agricultural excellence within our county and beyond.
To the youth of Metkei, I issue a heartfelt call: hustle with purpose. Be courageous, focused, and disciplined in your pursuits. You are the engine of progress and the foundation of our future. As your Representative, I commit to walk with you, support your ambitions, and champion programs that create opportunities for enterprise, mentorship, and employment. Your success is our collective success.
Today marks not just a swearing-in, it marks the beginning of a renewed covenant of service. Let us work together, deliberate together, and build together. May unity guide our decisions, may progress shape our actions, and may God grant us wisdom in every step we take.
May God bless Metkei Ward.
