CS Interior Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen has arrived in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County, for 18th Jukwaa la Usalama grassroots engagement. After meeting with the county security team, he will proceed to a town hall meeting with members of the public, local leaders, NGAOs, and security personnel at the Gulab Lochab Academy Hall.

Panic has gripped Kabarnet town following the reported abduction of a popular youth activist, Vincent Kipsang, widely known as Zonko Classic. Kipsang, who also identifies as the self-declared DCP Party Chair for Baringo County, was allegedly seized by unknown individuals on Sunday evening.

Eyewitnesses claim Kipsang was picked up from his shop located near the SS area in Kabarnet town by men in plainclothes who arrived in two Subaru vehicles. He was reportedly bundled into one of the cars and driven off to an undisclosed location.

The incident has sparked anxiety among locals, given Kipsang’s reputation as a vocal critic of President William Ruto and a prominent figure behind the “Wantam” slogan currently gaining traction in Baringo County.

Shule ya Upili ya Tenges Boys leo iliandaa Siku ya Maombi iliyojaa shangwe na matumaini, ikiwakutanisha wanafunzi, walimu, wazazi na wageni mbalimbali katika kuonyesha mshikamano na usaidizi kwa watahiniwa wa mwaka huu wa mtihani wa kitaifa.

Hafla hiyo ilihudhuriwa na wageni mashuhuri akiwemo Katibu Mkuu wa ICT, Bw. John Tanui, pamoja na Mbunge wa Baringo Central, Mhe. Joshua Kandie, miongoni mwa viongozi wengine wa heshima. Wageni hao waliungana na jamii ya shule katika kutoa maombi, maneno ya faraja, na ushauri kwa watahiniwa wanapojiandaa kwa safari yao muhimu ya kitaaluma.

Kenya's President William Ruto has ordered police to shoot protesters targeting businesses in the legs, ensuring they are incapacitated but not killed.

The UN and human rights groups have accused the police of using excessive force in the recent wave of anti-government protests - 31 people were killed on Monday, according to a state-run body.

"Anyone caught burning another person's business or property should be shot in the leg, hospitalised, and later taken to court. Don't kill them, but ensure their legs are broken," the president said.
