It has been a very busy week for us, awarding three scholarship opportunities to three hardworking girls from Kakuma Refugee Camp and facilitating their report to their respective schools. Today, our third student, Nyibol, arrived at her school. We wish her all the best as she settles into her new environment and focuses on her studies. We are deeply grateful to Dean Miller for covering a year worth of fees for Nyibol.

From the dust and diversity of Kakuma Refugee Camp rises an inspiring young scholar, Kwanen Gatjang G*i, who scored an impressive A- (minus) in the 2025 KCSE!
Growing up with limited access to electricity, Kwanen’s dream of becoming an electrical engineer was shaped by his own experiences. Through resilience, mentorship, and involvement in school clubs, he developed the ability to overcome challenges and stay focused.
He now inspires other boys in the camp and continues to champion girls’ education. “I appreciate JRS for the interventions they have brought into schools, and I thank the donors. Your support is not in vain.”
Kwanen is proof that hope, hard work, and opportunity can transform lives.

Singer Chamdena Level is over the moon after his close friend Don Eddy surprised him with a car on Christmas Day.

Sharing his excitement while showing off the new ride, the Angum singer praised Don Eddy’s generosity and friendship, saying he feels blessed to have a brother like him.
