Big Win for Hon. Phillip Nashon Aroko as Former ODM Aspirant Newton Ogada Joins His Camp

Kasipul Constituency’s political landscape has shifted dramatically after former ODM aspirant Hon. Newton Onyango Ogada officially joined Hon. Phillip Nashon Aroko’s campaign team, signaling a major victory for Aroko ahead of the November 27 by-election.
Hon. Ogada, who contested in the ODM primaries, accused the party of using manipulated and cooked methods to determine its flagbearer. He cited widespread malpractice and lack of transparency in the nomination process, saying the people’s will was overturned by party insiders.
> “The ODM ticket was not won fairly. It was a cooked process. I now stand firmly with Hon. Aroko to deliver real change to Kasipul,” said Ogada.
He called on residents across South Kasipul, Central Kasipul, West Kamagak, East Kamagak, and West Kasipul to rally behind Aroko, describing him as a “leader of safety, justice, and progress.” Ogada added that through Aroko’s leadership, “the era of political slavery in Kasipul will come to an end.”
Ogada went further to criticize ODM Kasipul Chairperson Hon. Aloo Ndege, urging him to “start packing his belongings from the constituency office,” accusing him of being part of NG-CDF corruption cartels.
He also condemned acts of political violence, claiming that ODM candidate Boyd Were Ong’ondo allegedly hired youths from Ndhiwa to vandalize his properties, including Beryl’s Hospital and six vehicles, during the ODM nominations.
> “The time has come for work — not goons, not threats, not political malpractice,” Ogada emphasized.
The entry of Hon. Ogada into Aroko’s camp is expected to boost Aroko’s grassroots influence across the constituency, reshaping the dynamics of the hotly contested Kasipul by-election.
