Mbavu the Destroyer has filed a case at the Sports Disputes Tribunal (SDT) challenging the outcome of his recent “street fight” bout.

In the application, Mbavu argues that the judges made an incorrect decision and is seeking to be declared the rightful winner. He is demanding the full winner’s prize package, which includes Ksh3.5 million in cash, a Toyota Voxy worth Ksh4 million, a Taro GP1 sports bike, and the championship belt.

Alternatively, he has asked the Tribunal to order a rematch.

Mbavu has named his opponent Majembe and event promoter Oga Obinna as respondents, while listing the Kenya Professional Boxing Commission (KPBC) as an interested party.

The Sports Disputes Tribunal has certified the matter as urgent and scheduled a mention on April 15, 2026, during which further directions will be given after parties file their responses.
