On September 23, 2019, I made the most important decision of my life — I gave my life to Christ. It wasn’t just a quiet moment of personal faith. It was a complete transformation of my spirit, my vision, and my purpose. From that day, I knew I couldn't continue living the same way. I had to change my paradigm — the way I thought, worked, created, and walked through life.
Not long after that, I had a dream — one that would shape my destiny forever. In that dream, I stood on a high place, singing a song of gratitude, while crowds of people below worshiped God together. The word I kept repeating was “Asante.” Over and over. It wasn’t just a word — it was a divine message. A cry from my heart. A new beginning.
When I woke up, I knew God was speaking to me. That dream became a mission. And that’s how the song Asante was born — straight from a moment of divine encounter and a heart that had just been set free.
Asante became more than just my first gospel release — it became my testimony in song. A monument in my journey. A declaration that Jesus had turned my life around.
After I released the music video, I was overwhelmed by what happened next. The song received massive airplay on major platforms like Trace Africa, Trace Gospel, Kiss Radio, PPP TV, and many others. But even more powerful than the airplay were the messages of hope that began to pour in — from fans, believers, strangers, and friends — telling me how the song had touched their lives. Till this day, I still receive testimonies from people around the world who felt encouraged, healed, and drawn closer to God through Asante.
Special thanks to:
Producer Timo Shay for the incredible audio production under Wazito Films
Video Director Awino Edward Ochieng for showing up on the shortest notice and delivering excellence
Twellve Ke for the amazing outfit and for managing the project behind the scenes
David Kasika for organizing the choir with such heart and skill
And to every person and every fan who made this project possible — I will live to remember you all.
As I continue this journey, I’m excited to share what’s next. I hope you will receive my new song, Naiwe with the same love and support you’ve shown me since day one.
Nawapenda sana.
