YOUR CHRISTIANITY IS PERSONAL
Don’t outsource your walk with God.
Don’t measure your fire by someone else’s flame.
Your Christianity is PERSONAL.
When you stood before God, it wasn’t a group project.
No one prayed the sinner’s prayer on your behalf. No one forced your heart open. It was YOU and GOD.
The Bible says, “For God so loved the world…” — yes, the world — …but He saved you one person at a time (John 3:16).
Salvation is not inherited like a surname.
It’s not transferred like airtime.
It’s an encounter.
Like Saul (Paul the Apostle) on the road to Damascus — no committee, no crowd — just one man and a blinding light (Acts 9).
Stop comparing your walk.
God didn’t call you to copy Christians.
He called you to follow Christ.
Hebrews 12:2 says: “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith…”
Not your pastor.
Not your favorite influencer.
Not the loudest Christian on social media.
But JESUS.
Because people can inspire you…
…but only Christ can sustain you.
Don’t let people become your stumbling block.
Some believers will disappoint you.
Some will confuse you.
Some will even hurt you.
But hear this clearly:
Judas’ betrayal didn’t stop Jesus from fulfilling His purpose.
Judas Iscariot failed — but Jesus Christ stayed faithful.
So why should someone else’s inconsistency destroy your conviction?
Romans 14:12 reminds us: “So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Not “each of us shall give account of our pastor.”
Not “each of us shall explain our church members.”
YOU.
Christianity is a mirror, not a window.
Stop always looking at others.
Look within.
It’s easy to say: “Look at how they behave…”
But God is asking: “Look at your heart.”
2 Corinthians 13:5 says, “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith…”
Grow your own roots.
A tree doesn’t survive on another tree’s roots.
If all you have is borrowed faith —
borrowed prayers, borrowed convictions, borrowed fire — then when storms come, you’ll collapse.
But when your roots go deep in Christ?
Storms may shake you…
but they won’t uproot you.
Psalm 1:3 says, “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water…”
Yes, learn from others—but don’t lean on them.
Be inspired by believers like:
Daniel — who stood alone in Babylon
Joseph — who stayed pure in private
Esther — who rose for such a time as this
But don’t idolize them.
Even Paul said: “Follow me, as I follow Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1)
The moment anyone stops following Christ…
they stop being your template.
Your responsibility as a believer:
Correct when you can
Guide when you can
Warn when necessary
Pray always
But NEVER lose your focus because of others.
Because distraction is one of the enemy’s oldest strategies.
Final Reminder:
On judgment day, it won’t be a group defense.
No excuses.
No comparisons.
No pointing fingers.
Just you… and God.
Matthew 16:27 says, “For the Son of Man shall come… and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
So fix your eyes.
Not on people.
Not on church drama.
Not on hypocrisy.
But on Jesus.
Because at the end of it all…
He is the Author of your faith
He is the Finisher of your faith
And He is the only one who can keep you to the end
Stay focused. Stay grounded. Stay personal with God.
