They say it’s for “consumer protection,” but be honest… expensive data means fewer people online. Fewer people online means less noise, less criticism, less organising.
Businesses already struggling will get hit with random bill shocks from background updates and cloud stuff.
Students, creators, hustlers… all will start rationing internet like it’s 2007 again.
While the rest of Africa is moving forward digitally, we’re about to take ourselves backwards.
We reject this attempt to indirectly cut off youths from the Internet.
