“THE LOVE THAT DIDN’T MAKE SENSE” – PART 1
Everyone in the village used to say that Amani and Leya were meant to destroy each other —
but somehow, every time they met, something soft in them woke up… like love was trying to bloom in the wrong season.
Amani was the kind of guy who trusted silence more than words. Leya was the girl who spoke her mind without thinking twice. They were total opposites — a storm and a calm morning — and that contradiction is what pulled them toward each other.
Their story began the day Leya accidentally spilled juice on Amani’s white shirt during market day.
She apologized a thousand times…
He just stared at her like she had interrupted a dream he didn’t even know he was having.
From that small mess grew a strange bond.
They would argue every time they met — loudly.
But the moment they parted ways, both of them oddly missed the noise.
People whispered,
“Those two will never work.”
But the way Amani watched Leya when she wasn’t looking told a different story.
And the way Leya defended Amani even in his absence?
That was love trying to hide… and failing terribly.
Everything was going well — contradicting but sweet — until one evening, Leya found something in Amani’s notebook.
Something he’d kept hidden for months.
Something that shouldn’t have had her name written all over it… in red ink.
Her hands shook.
Her breath froze.
The page slipped to the floor.
She whispered,
“Amani… what is this?”
Amani stepped into the doorway — slowly.
His face unreadable.
His voice low.
“Leya… I was hoping you’d never see that.”
To be continued…
