Lights flickering? Tokens vanishing too fast? We can help.

An electric meter measures how much energy your home uses. Prepaid (token) meters let you buy units by entering a token code — the meter deducts units as you use power. If you find “My tokens finish very fast” it could be: heavy appliances (heaters, geysers, ovens), leaving devices on standby, or faulty wiring/earth faults drawing extra current.

Common meter problems:
- Token not accepted
- Meter not responding / blank display
- Meter beeping or showing error codes

Meters also have simple codes and menu options to check balance, meter number, and recent usage — useful for spotting fast consumption or errors.

Quick troubleshooting before calling a pro:
- Re-enter the token carefully and check the token format
- Turn off big appliances and see if usage slows
- Reset the breaker/main switch, then watch the meter display
- Check for visible wiring damage or loose connections (don’t touch live wires)
- Note any error codes or beeps to tell the technician

Prefer a safe, permanent fix? Propelled Electricals installs meters, fixes faults, handles wiring and CCTV — fast, reliable service in Nairobi, Kisii, and Eldoret. Call/WhatsApp us on 0743698118 to book a visit.

Are your prepaid tokens disappearing faster than they should? You're not alone — and we can help.

High-power appliances like electric cookers, water heaters, irons and electric showers draw a lot of electricity. When customers say “My tokens finish very fast,” it’s often down to how those appliances are used — not a mysterious fault with the meter.

Common mistakes to avoid:
- Overloading sockets with multiple high-power devices
- Using poor-quality extension leads or cheap adapters
- Leaving appliances switched on when not in use
- Ignoring damaged or frayed wiring

Simple safety tips and ways to save:
- Don’t run two or more high-power appliances on one socket
- Use good-quality extensions or surge-protected multi-sockets
- Turn appliances off at the switch or use timers
- Get regular electrical checks and fix damaged wires promptly
- Consider energy-efficient appliances where possible

For safe wiring, professional installation, fault fixing and CCTV installation, trust Propelled Electricals. We keep your home safe and your bills in check. Call/WhatsApp: 0743698118. Serving Nairobi, Kisii, Eldoret.
