Nairobi Hospital board member Job Obwaka died from cardiac arrest, a postmortem examination has confirmed.

Family representative Joseph Ndungu said the findings pointed to a cardiac-related cause of death, bringing initial clarity to the circumstances surrounding Obwaka’s passing.

However, Ndungu noted that further examinations will be conducted to provide a more comprehensive medical report.

Obwaka’s death has drawn attention within medical and governance circles, given his role at the Nairobi Hospital board. More details are expected once additional tests are completed.

Veteran gynaecologist and Nairobi Hospital director Dr Job Obwaka has died at the age of 83.

He passed away this evening at 7:00 pm at the very facility where he served patients for decades, his wife, Everose Obwaka, confirmed.

Hospital sources said he was brought in unconscious and was pronounced dead on arrival.
