No matter how closed you're to someone, there are questions you should not ask the person except the person decides to bring up the topic and set it for discussion
Yes, I learnt this sometimes ago
Sometimes ago, I was with a friend who dropped out of school due to certain issues.
While we were discussing, I asked him "How're you doing with school?
Immediately I asked him, I noticed his mood changed, he waved off the topic.
I didn't bother him again, I brought out another topic and we laughed over it
Many of us are fond of intruding people's privacy. Asking questions that can stir up sadness in the face, bring the mind back to old memories
You see a woman that was pregnant and you heard very well she had a miscarriage. You see her on the road and still ask "What really happened? How did it go?
Like what do you want her to tell you?
You see someone that lost a closed relative and you still ask questions like "I heard what happened, how did it go?"
How did it go? Like what exactly do you want to know?
There are many instances to draw from...
We should all try to respect people's privacy.
Don't want to know beyond what someone wants you to know. Especially if it's non of your business.
