Believing that fasting or a hunger strike will feed the starving, heal the sick, or repair the world is not spiritual depth or moral bravery. It’s self-inflicted starvation masquerading as virtue. You don’t cure hunger by worshipping it. You don’t heal the sick by weakening yourself. It’s performance suffering. The world stays broken, and you just get thinner for nothing.
