President William Ruto has assented to the County Allocation of Revenue Bill, 2025 and the County Public Finance Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2023 at State Lodge, Homa Bay.

The equitable share to counties has risen to Sh415B, up nearly Sh30B from last year’s Sh387.4B—a move aimed at strengthening devolution and boosting grassroots service delivery.

The amendment bill, sponsored by Senator Kathuri Murungi, establishes a County Assembly Fund in each county to enhance legislative operations.
