The equitable share to counties has risen to Sh415B, up nearly Sh30B from last yearโ€™s Sh387.4Bโ€”a move aimed at strengthening devolution and boosting grassroots service delivery.

The amendment bill, sponsored by Senator Kathuri Murungi, establishes a County Assembly Fund in each county to enhance legislative operations.
