What does Canon Law say when a religious woman or any religious beats another religious?

That religious may be subject to dismissal from her religious institute, especially if the act constitutes a grave offense such as homicide, serious injury, or other acts specified in Canon 1397 or Canon 1398.

Dismissal might be avoided if the superior determines other forms of correction and reparation.
