Turkana is one of the hottest and driest regions in Kenya, with an arid to semi-arid climate. Temperatures often range between 30°C and 40°C, rainfall is very low and unpredictable, and droughts are frequent, making farming difficult.
The living standards of many people in Turkana are generally low due to poverty, water scarcity, limited infrastructure, and few employment opportunities. Many families depend on pastoralism (keeping livestock), fishing around Lake Turkana, and relief food during prolonged droughts. We're hoping to reach these families atleast once a month with little coins we get from you.
