New dawn for Sabaot Community as former Bungoma Deputy Governor Hon Hillary Chongwony registers a new political outfit - National Integration Party. The other party official is Moses Machemo Kwemboi.

This will be the first time, a Sabaot will be leading a party, since the early 1960's when Hon. Daniel Moss formed the Western Kenya Congress party.

Big win for the Sabaot community as the National Land Commission recommends that the Ministry of Lands and Forestry regularise and complete the settlement process in Chepyuk Phases II and III.

The Commission has also proposed the degazettement of Kitalale and the surrender of 10% of ADC farms to the community for the resettlement of landless members.

Hon. Tom Chesol, an aspirant for the Bukwo District LC5 seat, has become the talk of the Sabaot Nation after boldly correcting President Yoweri Museveni in public.

While the President was reading an official speech listing projects completed by his administration, Mr. Chesol, who was translating, decided not to sugarcoat things. He politely disagreed with some of the figures and gave what he called “the true picture” on the ground.

To everyone’s surprise, President Museveni was not offended, he was actually impressed!

Now the big question is: do you know any other Sabaot leader brave enough to fact-check the President on stage?

Erastus Kirui Chemorei, an adjutant at the GSU Training School in Embakasi, was killed by police in broad daylight at his Kitalale home on February 19, 2005.
He was shot in cold blood as his family, including his children, watched.
His murder remains unresolved to this day.
Chemorei’s killing was linked to the disappearance of the largest co***ne consignment ever seized in Kenya.

Today, his family and the entire Sabaot community are proud.
One of his sons was among the elite officers who provided security during the viewing of Raila Odinga's body in Parliament.
