A FARM MANAGER REQUIRED
Kitale Family House of Hope is a Children’s charitable institution registered in Kenya by the National Council of Children’s Services. In its effort to accomplish its mandate, we are looking for a qualified person to fill the position of a farm manager.After the interview,the candidate will be required to serve for one year after which the contract will be renewed based on satisfactory performance.
Job Description
Analyzing existing operations, crops, livestock, staff, and financial documents and recommending improvements.
Preparing plans and schedules for planting and harvesting
Inspecting crops, livestock, and also perform tests on soil and water.
Scheduling Treatment and vaccination of all livestock
Handling the marketing and sale of products produced on the farm.
Collaborating with management to prepare budgets and financial reports.
Training Children and the community some Basic farming practices
Farm Manager Requirements:
A Diploma in agrobusiness, Animal Science, or equivalent.
Someone without the above training but with a proof of Extensive experience in agribusiness related field of not less than 10 years may be considered.
Management experience would be a plus.
A passion for Agriculture. •
The ability to make decisions in stressful environments.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to work overtime as required
