So letโ€™s get down to the topic of today

*THE FUTURE IS AFRICA*
Is the 'global hype' for African culture actually helping us?

Or is it becoming a trend, with outsiders defining what's 'cool' about us?
For example. Last week, this guy *kai cenat* came to Nigeria and Ghana; it should that the world paying attention to Africa which is a GOOD thing and It creates opportunities for our artists, designers, comedians etc. But from the contents shared and watched created around Kai cenat; I was truly disappointed; he asked *DAVIDO* how many tribes there was in Nigeria and he said 3; Yoruba, Igbo and Benin. Mind you, the three main ethnic group in Nigeria is Yoruba, Igbo and Hausa but we have 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria
Now the question is โ€œDo you have an example of when you felt proud/uncomfortable about how African culture was represented globally?

What can WE do to make sure Africans are the ones shaping the narrative?โ€
The 'global hype' for African culture can indeed be a double-edged sword. While it does bring attention and opportunities, there's a risk of *misrepresentation* and oversimplification by outsiders.
