Turkana County Governor Jeremiah Lomorukai has been recognised on the global stage after receiving the People’s Choice Governor’s Award for Excellence in Social Welfare in Paris.
The award, presented by the European-Anglo African Business Council (EAAIBC), celebrates Governor Lomorukai’s outstanding leadership in tackling water scarcity and expanding access to clean and safe water for pastoralist communities, refugees, and key institutions across the county.
The ceremony brought together leaders from Kenya, Nigeria, and Egypt, who were honoured for their contributions in governance, economic transformation, infrastructure, and leadership.
