A Message to the People of Suguta Valley
Good morning to the blessed people of Suguta Valley.
As a community, we must remain vigilant against negativity and unfounded criticism that threatens our progress. Unfortunately, some individuals who no longer live here, but have settled in Lodwar, often cast doubt on development initiatives taking place on the ground. From a distance, they speculate and spread harmful narratives without presenting evidence, while those of us living here continue to face the real challenges of daily life.
Development projects in Suguta Valley — whether in education, water, livelihoods, or peace-building — are meant to uplift the very people who have remained committed to this land. It is therefore unfair for those outside our reality to attack these efforts instead of supporting them.
We call upon every resident and well-wisher of Suguta Valley to:
Stand united in protecting projects that bring tangible benefits to our people.
Challenge misinformation by asking for facts and evidence.
Promote dialogue — anyone with genuine concerns should present them respectfully to community elders.
Celebrate progress — every positive step, no matter how small, is a victory for all of us.
Suguta Valley belongs to its people. We have endured hardships, and together we will shape a better future. Let us not allow outside voices of division to derail the journey of hope, unity, and transformation.
