DAAWO: Soomaalida dhibaatada ugu weyn ee maanta haysata waa laba: socod yari iyo cunto xumo, sida uu sheegay Dhakhtar Ali Shifo.

Fadhiga badan wuxuu keenaa dhabar xanuun, murqaha oo daciifa iyo miisaanka oo kordha.

Xitaa carruurta ayaa arrintan saameysay; iskuul wax ka yar 2km u jira ayay mararka qaar baabuur u raacaan.

Dhakhtarku wuxuu xusay in haweenkii h**e ay si badan u socon jireen, suuqyada tegi jireen, shaqeyn jireen, taasoo ka caawin jirtay inay caafimaad qabaan.

Facing the hard question: Do you remember Junet Mohamed saying “Kuna kitu ilitembea kwa Bunge” while referring to the impeachment of former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua?

During the “Explainer” programme, Yvonne put Junet on the spot, asking him whether he received any money and, if so, where the alleged money came from.

Junet Mohamed: One time, when I was in the opposition, I said something mundane, a very small thing, and I spent six days in Pangani Police Station cells.”

Junet also criticised the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC), arguing that it failed to effectively deliver on its mandate.

He further defended the Affordable Housing Programme, saying the policy was already part of ODM’s manifesto as far back as 2007.

On the economy, Junet claimed that Kenya was at the brink of default before ODM Cabinet Secretaries joined the National Treasury, presenting the move as part of the broader-based government arrangement.

Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has raised a series of questions surrounding the deaths of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga and other high-profile leaders, as he assessed the performance of the Kenya Kwanza administration during a press briefing.

Gachagua’s remarks have drawn a sharp response from Broad-Based Government lawmakers, who accused him of making “wild and frivolous allegations without proof” and attempting to undermine government institutions and security agencies for political gain.

The lawmakers further accused Gachagua of seeking to weaken the Kenya Kwanza administration while attempting to regain political relevance.

The exchange has opened a fresh political battle, with questions over accountability, security and the motives behind Gachagua’s latest remarks taking centre stage.

For Ahmed Ali Madey, Who is pushing the Deputy Governor narrative and why?

Mandera East parliamentary aspirant Ahmed Ali Madey has dismissed claims that he is positioning himself for the Deputy Governor’s seat, terming the reports as propaganda allegedly being pushed by his political competitors.

Speaking during a consultative meeting with the Abkey Ali family at Atis Hotel in Eastleigh, Nairobi, Madey said the claims were being circulated after his competitors took note of the unity and growing political strength of the Ali Sharmake family.

Madey said that his political ambition remains centred on the Mandera East parliamentary seat, adding that he has no intention of shifting his focus to the Deputy Governor position.

“Our focus remains on the Mandera East parliamentary seat. As the family’s flagbearer, I want to make it clear that the claims about me seeking the Deputy Governor position are not true. Those interested in the Deputy Governor position should come forward and seek our support.”

His remarks seek to put to rest growing speculation around his political plans as 2027 political realignments and negotiations continue to take shape in Mandera County.

ODM Party Leader Oburu Oginga brought laughter to the gathering as he addressed leaders during the Broad-Based Parliamentary Group and Governors’ Retreat in Naivasha, Nakuru County.

The gathering brought together leaders from UDA and ODM, with the two parties agreeing to work towards a joint manifesto and coalition agreement framework.

In his remarks, Oburu explained ODM’s decision to work with the government, saying the move was aimed at stabilising the country, promoting justice and advancing shared policies, including the affordable housing programme.

“We joined the government because we didn’t want our country to be taken over through demonstrations. We want the government to be changed through the ballot box.”
