A MAN (DENG JUNIOR) WHO FAILED TWICE IN THE TEYA-JUBA CHAIRMANSHIP ELECTION WON IN THE THIRD TIME!
Twic East Youth Association in Juba (TEYA) held its valuable, peaceful, and transparent democratic election for the team 2025-2027 last weekend, on June 15th, at the TEYA Centre in Jebel Lemon, Shirikat. TEYA elections are held every two years of tenure.
The TEYA Independent Electoral Committee (IEC), led by Dr. Akech Awan Adit, carried out a credible and professionally electoral process. The availability of the candidates' billboards in major parts of Juba, as well as media coverage, making it highly influential among the Twic East Community and South Sudanese in general.
William Deng Kuir Bul, also known as Deng Junior, failed twice in the TEYA Chairmanship elections from 2021 to 2023 and 2023 to 2025. Finally, it is spectacular and amazing that Junior was elected chairman of TEYA 2025-2027. Deng Junior's resiliency and traits of leadership earned him national admiration. Deng was one of five candidates committed to make Twic East superior in terms of development and resettlement since Twic East County people were forced to relocate to an internally displaced persons camp due to floods.
According to his spoken phrases, Deng Junior is trustworthy to lead the Twic East Youth Association this time, and he will strive towards taking Twic forward. Junior proclaimed during campaigns, "You are Christians, Jesus died and was resurrected on the third day, and I will be victorious on the third round." Also, you are still a Christian; in the Trinity, we stated, "In the name of God the Son, the Father, and the Holy Spirit, I will win the third time."
The deducted candidates were:
1. William Deng Kuir of Twic East Forward (TEF).
2. Bul John Ajak from Twic East Youth Vision for Development.
3. Dut Abraham Atem from Twic East Alliance for Development (TEAD)
4. Jacob Khot Jok, Twic East Solidarity Alliance (TEYSA)
5. Adier Simon Deng, Twic East Network Alliance (TENA).
It was advantageous to be able to vote for the first time during this electoral process. Congratulations to Deng Junior for being the chairman-elect of the Twic East Youths in the 2025-2027 election. I'm pretty pleased of my wonderful community, Twic East for consistently being excellent and authentic.
