Ah yes, remember when the last stadium was built way back in 1987 by President Moi? Moi International Kasarani—an ancient relic, practically fossilized.
Now, fast forward to just 2 years under President William Samoei Ruto, and suddenly it’s like the Olympics moved in:
✅ Flagship Project? Just a casual Talanta Sports City — no big deal, just a “world-class” hub casually built from scratch.
✅ Renovations? Just brushed off the cobwebs from Kasarani and Nyayo, gave Kipchoge Keino Stadium a facelift, and threw in some shiny upgrades at Police Sacco, Ulinzi, and Utalii grounds — because why not?
✅ Completed and handed over? Just a casual ten stadiums (Kirigiti, Embu, Kericho...you get the idea). Probably built them during lunch breaks.
🛠️ Ongoing construction? Just a sprinkle more — Bukhungu, Marsabit, Ruring’u, and friends. Building them like they’re setting up greenhouses.
📜 Tendered for development? Because of course — Isiolo, Migori, Murang’a are next in line. Everyone gets a stadium!
🌱 And because that wasn’t enough, 37 Sports Academies popped up across the country like mushrooms — grooming the next Kipchoges, Ingesas, and Oliechs from grassroots level.
But sure, tell me again how Ruto has “done nothing.” Go ahead. Use A = πr² to calculate “how he’s failed.” Maybe we’ll find the answer hidden in a circle.
In the meantime, please—give the man his FLOWERS. Or better yet, a stadium bouquet.
