MARSABIT ELDERS RELEASED ON BOND IN KAHAWA COURT TERROR CASE
Two prominent Marsabit elders, former Chief Dabasso Fayo and Gurach Dambala Sora, have been released on bond by the Kahawa Law Courts pending the hearing of a terrorism-related case.
According to court documents seen by our newsdesk this evening, Gurach Dambala Sora, who is facing charges linked to the commission of a terrorist act, was released on a bond of Ksh 5 million with a surety of a similar amount.
The court directed the accused to appear before the Chief Magistrate’s Court at Kahawa on June 8, 2026, for further mention and proceedings of the case.
Former Chief Dabasso Fayo was also granted bond of the same amount as legal proceedings continue.
The release of the two elders has drawn attention across Marsabit County, where community members and leaders have been closely following the case.
