The elders who were released on bond have expressed gratitude to supporters who stood by them throughout their detention period.
Speaking after their release, the elders thanked community members, leaders, youth, and women for their unwavering support from the time of their arrest until they secured bond. They also acknowledged those who demonstrated in solidarity with them and individuals who publicly raised their voices in support during the difficult period.
“We are deeply grateful to all our people, leaders, youth, and women who stood with us from the time of our arrest until today, when we were finally released on bond. We especially thank those who stood up for us, those who demonstrated on our behalf, and all who raised their voices in our support during this difficult period,” the elders said.
