The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) is set to roll out large-scale teacher redeployments starting April through a newly introduced online system.

Educators will now submit transfer requests digitally — a move aimed at enhancing openness, efficiency, and cutting down paperwork delays.

Institutions with surplus staff will have some teachers reassigned to schools experiencing shortages, in line with the Curriculum-Based Establishment (CBE) policy.

A big shift towards streamlined and accountable staffing in our schools.

🚨 IS KNEC TREATING TEACHERS FAIRLY? ✍️

It is deeply troubling that teachers and other professionals contracted to administer and mark the 2025 national examinations have allegedly not been paid.

Failure to honour payment agreements after services have been rendered raises serious concerns about fairness, respect, and contractual obligation.

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) must address this matter urgently. Teachers dedicate their time, expertise, and integrity to safeguard the credibility of our national exams. Delayed or withheld payments undermine morale and professionalism.

Teachers now demand Teachers’ unions, especially Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), to take firm and immediate action — including legal redress if necessary — to protect their members and ensure payments are made promptly, with any due compensation.

Silence in the face of such concerns only deepens frustration among loyal, fee-paying members.

Teachers deserve respect.
Teachers deserve fairness.
Teachers deserve their pay — on time.

🚨 UPDATE FOR TEACHERS 🚨

All private hospitals are set to stop providing medical services to teachers starting 1st March.

This comes after TSC and SHA allegedly failed to honour the agreed 45- and 90-day payment timelines for settling medical claims.

If this is not resolved urgently, thousands of teachers and their families risk being locked out of private healthcare facilities — a looming crisis that could seriously affect service delivery in our schools.

Teachers now call upon H.E. William Ruto to urgently convene a meeting bringing together:
Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
Social Health Authority (SHA)
The Ministry of Treasury
The Ministry of Health

Teachers deserve reliable healthcare. Our wellbeing matters.

🌍🇰🇪 Kenya takes a bold step in HIV prevention!

Kenya has received its first consignment of 21,000 starter doses of Lenacapavir, the groundbreaking long-acting injectable HIV PrEP. This marks the beginning of a national rollout that puts people at the center of innovation in the fight against HIV.

Delivered in partnership with the Global Fund, this milestone expands access to next-generation prevention technologies across Africa. By April, an additional 12,000 continuation doses will arrive, alongside 25,000 doses from the U.S. Government to strengthen early implementation.

The phased rollout, led by NASCOP and the Ministry of Health, will begin in March 2026 across 15 high-burden counties, ensuring readiness, reliable supply, and sustainable scale-up.

Approved by the U.S. FDA and endorsed by the WHO, Lenacapavir is administered twice a year at an affordable cost of about KES 7,800 annually per patient—a dramatic reduction from the previous global price.

This initiative supports Universal Health Coverage and Kenya’s vision of ensuring every child is born and remains HIV-free. 💙

Together, we move closer to ending the HIV epidemic.
