THINKING OUT OF THE BOX:
Having been to several reggae festivals here in Europe and learnt afew things about all these events… i cant help thinking loud. When i see back home - Kenya 🇰🇪 what will be happening on the reggae scene from the month of september to November. Major artists on the reggae front will be gracing the land … Burning spear, Turbulence, Glen Washington and Alborosie to be precise. If promoters in this country can put their head together, sponsors, stakeholders on the reggae front and think of a 2days festival that accomodates a MAIN STAGE ( the likes of burning spear, turbulence, Glen washington, Alborosie and a couple of kenya reggae artists as well as one mainstream artist to feature on this stage ) DANCEHALL STAGE ( that will see different djs unite and bring energy on that end ) SOUND SYSTEM STAGE ( the likes of Umojah sound system and maybe one or two other international sound systems on this arena ) food vendors, Children corner and merchandise area. A nice venue that accomodates all even the camping area can be included ( kenya we dont have curfew and i believe sound we can deal with Nema )….. my people that how i just came up with a FESTIVAL !!!🤪
But since thats not the case… every promoter to his court trying to pull numbers. Well, Unity with like-minded people is STRENGTH that all i know.
Anyway Heartical is just thinking out of the box and missing Ugali 🤨
