You might be fighting for your life inside a room nobody can enter, and the world reads only the gaps you leave. They count missed messages and empty chairs and decide you are absent, never pausing to ask what kind of battle kept you silent. There are private wars where courage looks like lying very still, where survival is stitched from tiny, stubborn acts nobody witnesses. Remember this: absence is often the work of endurance. Living through the storm is not a failure to love others, it is the slow, honest labor of staying alive so you can someday show up whole.

Tharaka Constituency MP Gifts Karocho Primary School cow.

Recently, the Member of Parliament for Tharaka Constituency, Hon. Gitonga Murugara, used Constituency Development Fund (CDF) resources to gift Karocho Primary School a cow, which he described as a “milking cow.” While the gesture may have been intended to support the school's nutrition or income generation, it has sparked criticism and raised questions among local residents.

Many have pointed out that the region’s harsh climate makes it difficult for such livestock to adapt and survive. Moreover, maintaining a cow requires constant access to water, proper shelter, and feed — resources that the school reportedly lacks.

Critics also argue that the school is in dire need of more urgent infrastructure improvements, including a reliable water supply, functional ablution blocks, and a secure perimeter gate. The decision to prioritize the purchase of a cow over these basic needs has been viewed by some as a misallocation of public funds.

The act, shared on the MP's official page, has since drawn mixed reactions, with some praising the donation while others question its practicality and sustainability.

Senator Mwenda Gataya Restores Hope to Kamaguna-Maragwa Residents

Tharaka Nithi Senator Mwenda Gataya has brought new hope to the residents of Kamaguna-Maragwa in Tharaka North by restoring the long-neglected Mutonye Dam. The dam, which had been an essential water source for local farmers and pastoralists, had dried up over the years due to heavy siltation and lack of maintenance. Initially constructed during the tenure of the first Tharaka Nithi Governor, Mbae Ragwa, the dam had played a key role in supporting agricultural and livestock activities in the region.

For over a decade, the residents of Kamaguna-Maragwa have suffered from severe water shortages after the dam became unusable. Many families had to walk long distances in search of water, affecting their daily lives and agricultural productivity. The restoration of Mutonye Dam has come as a major relief, especially for those who rely on farming and livestock as their main sources of livelihood. The renewed water supply is expected to significantly boost local food production and improve the quality of life for hundreds of households.

The residents have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Senator Gataya for his intervention. They praised his commitment to grassroots development and his responsiveness to the needs of the people. According to community members, the restored dam has already started making a positive impact, with water now accessible for both domestic use and livestock. Many see this project as a sign of the senator's dedication to genuine service and long-term development.

Encouraged by his efforts, the residents are now calling on Senator Gataya to consider vying for the Tharaka Constituency seat in the 2027 elections. They believe that his leadership at the grassroots level would bring even more development to the region. With promises of full support from the community.

Too many people think being humble means downplaying yourself. Wrong. 🚫
Humility is what keeps you growing, learning, and leveling up.

The moment you believe you know it all, you stop improving. The second you think your perspective is perfect, you shut the door to new opportunities. 🚪❌

Real humility doesn’t cage you — it frees you. 💡
It lets you listen, adapt, build stronger connections, and chase excellence without the weight of ego dragging you down.

Respect yourself. Value yourself. But never let your pride blind you.
Because the ones who grind with humility are the ones who rise the highest.

Kanyuru Resident Criticizes Bunge La Mwananchi Leader Ntonja and MP Aspirant Paul Mugambi

A concerned resident of Kanyuru strongly condemned Bunge La Mwananchi leader Ntonja and aspiring Member of Parliament Paul Mugambi during a recent burial ceremony, emphasizing that the people of Kanyuru are peaceful, God-fearing, and well-versed in the Bible. He urged the leaders to refrain from carrying the Bible while using it to insult others, particularly in solemn gatherings like funerals.

The resident harshly criticized Ntonja, labeling him as incompetent and suggesting that he should go to Nkûmbaru to learn how to communicate respectfully, rather than constantly resorting to insults—especially during a time of mourning.

Turning to Paul Mugambi, the speaker stated that Mugambi appears to have lost direction, questioning whose leadership he actually follows. He reminded Mugambi that the people of Kanyuru supported him from his days in Tharaka and Chuka all the way to Nairobi, even voting for him as the youth leader of Kenya. However, he accused Mugambi of betraying that trust by allegedly embezzling funds that were intended to support the youth—money reportedly allocated by former President Uhuru Kenyatta and current President William Ruto.

The resident issued a stern warning against tarnishing Deputy president Kithure Kindiki's name by associating him with what he referred to as Mugambi’s "pet project of theft."

They concluded by declaring that the people of Kanyuru will not vote for anyone in the 2027 elections who misappropriated youth funds or betrayed the community’s trust.
