AID THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAM

Aid Through Discipleship is a holistic empowerment program by the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation. The program provides food support to widows for a period of six months while walking with them through intentional discipleship, financial stewardship training, and basic business skills.

During the six-month period, we disciple the widows using biblical principles, teach them how to budget their money wisely, and guide them on how to manage and grow small businesses. We do not impose a one size fits all model. Instead, we identify what each widow is already doing to generate income and help strengthen that area of specialization through practical training and biblical insight.

At the end of the six months, each widow graduates from the program and receives KES 100,000 to boost her existing business or income-generating activity. The goal is long term sustainability, dignity, and spiritual growth, not dependency.

We began this initiative as a pilot project with two widows, and the results have been very encouraging. The program has proven effective both spiritually and economically.

We are now rolling out the Aid Through Discipleship Program across all 47 counties in Kenya. In each county, we will enroll five widows, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 235 widows nationwide.

How We Recruit Widows

We work exclusively through local churches. Pastors serve as our primary point of contact and act as trusted partners on the ground. A pastor identifies a needy widow within their congregation and contacts us. Our team then visits the church and conducts a needs assessment to verify the situation. Once the widow meets the program criteria and passes the assessment threshold, she is enrolled into the program.

This church-based model ensures accountability, accurate identification of need, and ongoing spiritual support for each widow.

KITUI MISSION UPDATE

The mission is progressing well, and we are grateful for God’s faithfulness.

Despite the heavy rains in Mombasa, our team at the Kelvin Chabogo Foundation pressed on with hearts full of love and purpose. We visited Tezo to distribute food to the widows we support every month women of strength and faith who remind us daily why this mission matters.

Through our AID-THRU-DISCIPLESHIP program, we do more than feed widows. We nourish both body and soul. We provide food for those in need as Scripture instructs us, while also teaching and encouraging them in the Word of God.

But we cannot do this alone.

SINGLE MOTHERS — THIS IS FOR YOU

10,000 KES School Shopping Aid 2026 (Widows Only)

We are pleased to announce a new support program for widowed single parents with children in day or boarding high schools across Kenya.

Eligible applicants will receive KSh 10,000 worth of school shopping for the January 2026 school term to support their children’s education.

Eligibility Criteria

1. You must be a widow or widower with children currently in high school (Form 1–Form 4).

2. Unmarried individuals who are not widowed are not eligible.

3. You must not be remarried.

4. You must have a valid death certificate for your deceased spouse.

5. You must provide a recommendation letter from your Pastor.

6. You must provide a recommendation letter from a sibling of your late spouse.

7. You must submit at least 3 photos from your spouse’s burial.

8. You must provide a school admission letter or confirmation letter from the school.

9. You must provide at least one clear photo of your child.

Approval Process

1. Submit the complete form along with all required documents.

2. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

3. Shortlisted applicants will receive a phone interview to verify details.

4. Your references must submit their forms and confirm your information; failure to do so will delay or cancel your application.

5. Approved applicants will be invited for the first KSh 10,000 school shopping session in January 2026, which will continue each school term. Until the child is through with High School.
