This morning, I joined UDA Secretary General Hassan Omar Hassan for a voter sensitization drive at Black Devil Grounds in Jomvu Constituency.

The Secretary General called on residents to register as voters in large numbers so that they can exercise their democratic right and ensure their voices are heard at the ballot.

I also reiterated my position against any form of political zoning, affirming my readiness to compete fairly with any candidate presented by the broad-based coalition. Leadership should be determined by the people through a free and democratic process—not through boardroom arrangements.

The people must have the freedom to choose their leaders.

Yesterday morning, I held a productive consultative meeting with VOK Boda Boda Riders at the VOK Social Hall.

I took time to listen to their pressing concerns, share practical solutions, and outline my long-term plan for Nyali once we take over office after the 2027 General Elections.

I was particularly impressed by their vision, determination and commitment to transforming their lives through their businesses. Boda boda riders are an important part of our local economy, and their contribution deserves recognition, support and meaningful representation.

I appreciate their confidence and commitment to supporting my bid. Together, we can build a more inclusive, prosperous and opportunity-driven Nyali where every hardworking resident has a chance to thrive.

The journey continues. 2027 is about service, opportunity and a better Nyali.

Yesterday I was privileged to attend a consultative engagement with village elders and ambassadors at Burhani Grounds.

The enlightening meeting was officiated by the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Secretary General, Hassan Omar Hassan, and attended by Transport Permanent Secretary Mohammed Daggar, alongside UDA party officials, leaders and aspirants.

The Secretary General urged the participants to take the voter registration message to every corner of Mombasa and encourage residents to register and turn out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right on Election Day.

In my remarks, I called for fairness and openness in the broad-based arrangement. There should be no zoning of elective positions. Every aspirant who believes in their vision and has the confidence of the people should be allowed to seek the people’s mandate.

As we prepare for 2027, let the people decide. Democracy is strongest when the ballot, not political agreements, determines who represents them.

Today morning, I was privileged to attend a powerful and enlightening church service at Throne of Grace, Jomvu Constituency, alongside the Secretary General of the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), Hon. Hassan Omar Hassan, who graced the service.

The fellowship provided an opportunity to reflect on faith, leadership, service to humanity and the responsibility we have to build a better society for all.

I was also joined by fellow Mombasa UDA leaders and aspirants as we shared in the blessings and fellowship with the congregation.

As leaders, we must remain grounded in our faith, connected to the people and committed to serving with integrity, humility and purpose.

May God continue to bless Throne of Grace, its leadership and the people of Jomvu and Mombasa at large.
