In 100 years, in the year 2125, we will all be buried alongside our relatives and friends. Strangers will live in the homes we fought so hard to build, and they will own everything we cherish today. Our descendants will barely remember who we were.
How many of us even know our grandfather’s father? After our death, we may be remembered for a few years, but eventually, our history, our photos, and our deeds will fade into oblivion. We won’t even remain as memories.
Perhaps if we truly reflected on this, we would realize how foolish and fragile the idea of treating another human being badly really is. Why let pride, envy, or grudges define our interactions when our time on earth is so short? We fight over things we can not take with us, hold onto anger that serves no purpose, and build walls where bridges could have stood.
Kindness costs nothing. A simple act of love, a moment of understanding, a word spoken with warmth, sometimes, that’s all another human being needs. Help those you can to succeed, too. A candle does not lose its light by lighting another candle. Instead, it makes the world brighter🕯
Choose peace over conflict, love over resentment, and understanding over judgment. Because when the soil finally covers you, the world will move on, and you will be forgotten. But the kindness you showed while you lived may live on in the hearts you touched ❤️
