Vicky Brilliance message
In recent days, I went through one of the most painful and humiliating moments of my career. I raised my complained that i performed at a women empowerment function an event that should have been about uplifting and celebrating women like me, but after requesting for pay as agreed, Chematia failed to pay me and she not only insisted that she wont pay but she responded with words that Cuts deep.
I can confirm that i gave my best on that stage. Not just as an artist, but as a woman who believed in the message behind that event. But after the performance, when I respectfully requested my rightful pay, all I received was harassment, insults, and ridicule.
It broke my heart.
As a young female artiste in the industry, it hurts deeply to be treated with such disrespect especially by someone in leadership, someone who should be empowering, not demeaning.
But when it felt like the world had turned its back on me, Chebor Kogo, a woman I’ve never met, heard my cry. She didn’t just speak out she stood up. She publicly condemned the mistreatment I faced and made a bold, selfless promise to pay me what I was denied.
And today, with deep gratitude and a full heart, I want to confirm that I have received the full amount of KSh. 128,172 from Chebor Kogo, just as she promised.
To Chebor, you are an angel in human form. You reminded me that kindness still exists. That women can still lift each other. That justice can still come from unexpected places. Your gesture means more than money it is a symbol of hope, dignity, and love. From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU.
To my fans, to everyone who stood with me, thank you for helping me rise above the pain. I will keep pushing, I will keep singing, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.
Thank You.
