Official Statement: Announcement of My Candidature for Member of Parliament, Konoin Constituency

SG Kiprono

After extensive consultations with the people of Konoin, community leaders, and stakeholders, and with a deep sense of responsibility to serve, I am honored to officially declare my candidature for the position of Member of Parliament for Konoin Constituency in the forthcoming general elections.

Konoin Constituency has made remarkable strides in development over the years, thanks to the collective efforts of our people and leadership. However, as we celebrate these achievements, we must acknowledge that more work lies ahead to ensure equitable progress, sustainable growth, and shared prosperity across all corners of our constituency. My decision to vie for this position is rooted in a commitment to build on the foundation laid while addressing the pressing challenges that continue to affect our people.

Our farmers, the backbone of Konoin’s economy, face unfavorable policies that hinder their productivity and access to markets. The lack of reliable electricity in many areas stifles economic opportunities and limits access to modern amenities. Additionally, there is an urgent need for inclusive resource allocation to ensure every village, ward, and household in Konoin benefits from development initiatives. As your Member of Parliament, I pledge to champion policies and sponsor bills that directly address these grievances, empower our farmers, and promote equitable growth.

My vision is simple yet: a Konoin where every citizen has access to electricity, where farmers are supported with fair policies and access to markets, where youth and women are empowered through education and economic opportunities, and where resources are shared equitably to uplift every community. I will work tirelessly to advocate for infrastructure development, improved healthcare, quality education, and sustainable agricultural practices to secure a brighter future for all.

This journey is not mine alone, it is ours. I call upon the people of Konoin to join me in this quest to elevate our constituency to new heights. Together, we can address the cries of our farmers, light up every home, and ensure that Konoin continues its upward trajectory toward prosperity.

I am inspired by the resilience and unity of our people, and I am ready to serve with humility, integrity, and dedication. Let us unite for a stronger, more inclusive Konoin.
