Breaking News

Information reaching my desk indicates that all Team Okoa Turkana East parliamentary aspirants have reportedly agreed to unite behind a single candidate to challenge the incumbent Member of Parliament in the upcoming election.

My fellow constituents, I said this earlier it may become a one-term leadership. The time to reveal the agreed candidate is drawing near. According to the information I have received, the announcement will be made through local media and public barazas.

I have also been informed that the strategy to challenge the incumbent has now been agreed upon.

Many people are hopeful that this marks the beginning of a new chapter for Turkana East, with greater focus on education, infrastructure, healthcare, and other development priorities.

I am not a prophet, but here’s my prediction: if indeed Mr. Ethekon Erastus has been appointed as the IEBC Chairperson, then take this to the bank prepare to swear in Hon. Dr. John Ariko Namoit as the third Governor of Turkana County in 2027.

Why? Because Raila Odinga will give President Ruto one condition: “You want my support? Fine but Turkana County must remain an ODM zone.” And that’s when the real political storm will begin to take shape. Preserve my post for the sake of Tomorrow. Ejok.

TURKANA EAST UPDATES SUGUTA VALLEY LOMELO VILLAGE

An office is being launched today under the name of Suguta.

But let's be clear, Kapedo/Napeitom Ward MCA is absent. Kapedo/Nominated MCA is absent

The Suguta Sub-county Administrator is absent.

No ward admin from Kapedo/Napeitom showed up. No professional from Suguta is in sight.

Instead, I see people from other regions sitting in meetings, making decisions about our land while openly mocking and insulting our people in Kapedo.

So what do our leaders know about ISVD that made them keep off?

Why are outsiders more invested than the very people ISVD claims to represent?

When the entire local leadership distances itself from such a process, something is off.

This isn’t just questionable it’s illegitimate.

It’s loud proof that something shady is being forced on our people.

This is not just disrespectful. It’s dangerous.

We must not stay silent. Our home is not up for abuse.

They arrested me, but they never broke me.

TURKANA EAST UPDATES

Residents of Katamanak village in Nakukulas, Lokori/Kochodin Ward have expressed their jubilation, following the County Government of Turkana’s effort to restock the community with 1000 goats, benefiting 114 targeted households, which have been living in dire poverty. This was as a result of recent rampant cattle rustling incidences that have rocked the pastoralist community.

They termed this livestock restocking exercise as increasing ray of hope in replenishing their livelihood lost through cattle rustling menace.

I believe this message finds our leaders well .As you all know Turkana students are more dependent on county bursary and NG-CDF....

I received a call from Madonna administration about the school fees payment and I was informed that the institution had received only one cheque from Turkana North..and the beneficiaries are the only students who would be allowed to sit for there exams this term ...

We got rumours that County bursary might be disbursed once this year...we really request the disbursement to be as first as possible...

As Madonna students we really honour the visit of Turkana East Member of Parliament Hon. Nicholas Ngikor and the arrival of Turkana North NG-CDF representatives... Your visit that term helped us a lot....

Loima and Turkana county bursary.

If we receive any cheque from any of above mentioned constituencies as the institution, it might help good numbers of our students to be allowed at the College.

Looking forward to your reactions as the County Government and NG-CDF representatives... We are more in need of help this term.... And I believe not only Madonna Teachers Training College is affected but all TTC's country wide...

A road accident has occurred at Karoge Centre Kitale-Lodwar involving players from HILLSIDE FC, who were traveling to Lodwar from Kisii after a match. Several players sustained serious injuries, but by God’s grace, no fatalities have been reported.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to everyone who has shown support and concern during this difficult time. Our sincere prayers and quick recovery wishes to all our injured players — may you heal swiftly and return stronger!
