Egypt is preparing to launch the worldโs longest driverless monorail, a 96 km network linking Cairo with the New Administrative Capital and 6th of October City.
The fully automated trains will reach speeds of up to 90 km/h, carrying up to 45,000 passengers per hour, offering a modern solution to the cityโs traffic congestion.
The first phase, connecting East Cairo to the New Administrative Capital, is set to open on 9 November 2025, marking a major milestone in Egyptโs urban transport development.
