The authors thought life.

When you buy and read a book by any author, you are bound to interact with a package full of the above list.

That's why they say,
You are a product of the people you listen to and the books you read.

Books shape our views about life hence our approach to it on a larger scale .

I hereby make an appeal to us, out of love, that you buy a book of your favourite author today and flip through the pages.

The Power of Secret Prayers

A secret prayer is a prayer you make to your God without anyone seeing you or even knowing about it.

Sometimes it is a secret, silent longing of your heart.

You hide yourself in some lonely quiet place and just have an honest confession, one on one, heart to heart real talk with your God.

You tell Him how thankful you are to Him
You ask Him for mercy in the areas where you are struggling
You uncover your secret hidden wounds and show them to Him alone
You make personal vows to Him
You make the secret longings of your heart known to Him.
Sometimes you just become vulnerable to God and allow Him to see your tears.

This is what is called having a personal relationship with God.

At times we judge people but we do not know when, where and how they meet with their God. We do not have the slightest idea of their secret dealings and conversations with their God.

Perhaps, that is why God keeps prospering the so called 'sinners' and the 'righteous' feel envious of them.

That is how people keep rising even after falling so many times in life. They have mastered the art of begging God for mercy.

Do not be so obsessed with crowds and public show of your piety, sanctimonicity and holy outlook, God is a God of the secret place.

Factors that hinder receiving from a voice ;

1. Familiarity
Familiarity will stop you from benefitting from both men and God.
Where they saw Jesus as a son of Joseph the carpenter, He did so little in their midst.
You will never receive from from someone you consider equal to you , someone you despise or consider too obvious to you.
Familiarity is not among the postures that grant access into the graces that work upon men.
When you trivialize men, they close their heart towards you. You won't get even a secret from them.

2. Result oriented mindset/Respect for pedigree
Results speak better and louder.
You cannot be an authority in a subject you do not practice.
However, when we only listen to successful people or men who have results alone, we risk missing the point.
We should also pay attention to those in our midst who have attempted the journey to success but failed along the way. They have something to say.
Everyone you meet in this life may big help you, but they may teach you something.
A child can show you something, a gatekeeper can help you with advice, connection or direction.
The little boy showed Samson the Pillars
Rahab the pr******te hid the spies
Joseph the carpenter fathered Jesus the king
Abraham had only one son yet God calls him the father of great nations.
Noah was building the ark when there was zero signs of a heavy downpour.
Uziah was the youngest yet very successful king of Israel
The donkey carried Jesus into the city.
The raven fed prophet Elijah.
Apostle Paul was not married (though some theologians suggest otherwise) but he has heavy and balanced council on marriage and family.

WHEN YOU ARE IN YOUR SEASON, CONSOLIDATE

To consolidate means to maximize what you have and make the most of the time at hand. Some people may want to refer to it as Gathering.

Life will always present you with a peak season. A season in which everything is working. A season where money is not a problem to you. A season where life puts you on high demand.

A season where whatever you are doing finally gets acceptance. Your Business experiences what we call booming.

Your season is your Kairos moment. Wisdom is needed to make the best out of the Kairos moment.

Many people would tend to think that your season is meant to last for too long or maybe forever. So they become complaisant, relaxed and wasteful during their high moments. They gather and scatter. They do not store up for the low seasons. This is a deception from the pit of hell.

When you are in your season, build what you have to build, gather what you have to gather, invest as much as you can, and do all you have to do because an untold future is coming.

This is so that you don't get to a point where you are looking at your past moments of glory and all you can do is regret.
