‼️ A 4-year-old boy is on life support, his mother is recovering from devastating injuries, and a grandmother is desperately praying she doesn’t lose the only daughter and grandson she has left.
What began as a simple walk to a neighborhood store in Ennis, Texas, has turned into a nightmare one family never saw coming.
April reached out to me on behalf of Leticia’s family, asking for prayers and support as a mother and son fight for their lives after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night near Dallas.
According to family members, Leticia and her 4-year-old autistic son, Emmanuel, were walking on a sidewalk when everything changed in an instant.
Now Emmanuel remains on life support with a severe brain injury.
His mother suffered multiple traumatic injuries, including two broken legs and spinal injuries. She has undergone surgery and is now conscious, but remains hospitalized.
The heartbreak didn’t start there.
Loved ones say Leticia is a single mother who previously lost her husband in a motorcycle accident. Not long ago, her mother, Alma, moved to Texas to help care for Emmanuel so Leticia could work more hours and continue providing for her son.
Today, Alma has stopped working entirely.
Instead, she spends her days moving between two hospital rooms, sitting beside her injured daughter and her critically injured grandson, praying for a miracle for both.
After regaining consciousness, family members say Leticia shared the last thing she remembers.
“We were walking on the sidewalk and all I remember is lights coming straight at us.”
Looking at the photos, it’s hard not to think about how quickly life can change.
Please help pray for Emmanuel, Leticia, Alma, and everyone who loves them.
