THE NATIONAL YOUTH COUNCIL UNVEILS 2023/2024-2027/2028 STRATEGIC PLAN.

The National Youth Council (NYC) has unveiled it's second Strategic plan 2023/2024-2027/2028, marking a significant milestone in Kenya's dedication to youth empowerment and development.
The launch was presided over by the Principal Secretary state department for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Mr. Ismail Maalim Madey who represented the Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Creative Economy and Sports Hon. Ababu Namwamba alongside Margaret Kiogora, Ag Chief Executive Officer NYC at the launch
Speaking the at the launch on Wednesday, 24 2024 at Utalii Hotel, Nairobi, Mr. Ismail Madey said that the five-year strategic plan entails a roadmap that will engage the youths in the ecosystem of life.
“The five-year strategic plan entails a roadmap on how to engage the young people into the spaces and ecosystems where they work. It's a very promising plan if we all put our efforts together we're going to achieve alot for he young people.” Said Mr. Madey
In regards to it's slogan—amplifying the youth voice, the National Youth Council is mandated to amplify the Youth voice and to advocate for Youth opportunities to associate, be represented and participate in the political, social, economic and other spheres of life.
Margaret Kiogora, Ag Chief Executive Officer NYC also expressed her remarks on the launch of the strategic plan, she said, “with this strategic plan we hope to have programs and initiatives that can be able to showcase what young people are doing in this country.”
The National Youth Council Strategic Plan is aimed at equipping young Kenyans with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities to thrive in today's dynamic world and to create an enabling environment where every youth can realize their full potential.
The plan also emphasizes inclusivity, particularly for marginalized groups and persons with disabilities.
