The Gold That Burnedā
Once, in a land torn by greed and war, there were five menāeach from a different village, but united by one obsession: to capture Satan himself and end the evil in their land.
They were:
⢠Kaleb, the swordsman.
⢠Rami, the scholar.
⢠Tariq, the hunter.
⢠Zane, the priest.
⢠And Omar, the leader.
They had heard legends that Satan walked among men, disguised, hiding in plain sightācausing chaos, division, and bloodshed. Swearing an oath, they said:
āWe will chase him to the ends of the earth, and bring peace by our hands.ā
šŖ The Encounter
After years of searching, they cornered a cloaked figure deep in the desert. His eyes burned red, and his laugh shook the sky.
He said,
āSo, you seek me? What will you do if you catch me?ā
They raised their weapons, but before they could strike, Satan laughed again and threw five bags of gold into the airāeach one shining brighter than the sun.
āYou seek to destroy evil? Let me gift you a taste of it.ā
Then he vanished.
š° The Division
Each man grabbed a bag, at first saying they would use it for good. But soon, suspicion set in.
Kaleb said, āRami counts more coins than he needs.ā
Tariq whispered, āZane speaks of God but holds his gold tight.ā
Omar tried to calm them, but even he hid some of his share.
šŖ The Betrayal
One night, Rami was found deadāstabbed in the back. Kaleb blamed Tariq. Tariq blamed Zane. Omar tried to mediate, but no one trusted anyone anymore.
By the end of that week, all four remaining men were deadāeach killed by the hands of the others. Only the gold remainedāsoaked in their blood, lying in the sand.
š The Revelation
Far off, under the same desert moon, the cloaked figure laughed once more and whispered:
āThey chased me for yearsā¦
But all I had to do was let them catch gold instead.ā

Moral of the Story:
The pursuit of righteousness can turn into ruin when greed enters the heart. Evil often doesnāt need to fightāit only needs to distract.
