Agribusiness means a farmer is doing farming with an aim of making profit. You have to treat as business without comprise.
Before you start farming you need to;

1. Identify what to you what to venture in. Is it horticulture, vegetable, poultry, dairy , value addition or even marketing? Agriculture has many venture choose one to specialize in

2. Have source of capital. You need capital to start farming. Amount of capital you have will also guide on what to venture in and also either to do small or large scale farming. You can start small and grow.

3. Conduct market survey. Do market survey to know where you sell your produce. Avoid farming without knowing where you gone sell your products

4. Have a farming calendar. Farming calendar shows when you will plant, w**d up to harvesting. Get all the information on this including the on peak and off peak season of what you want to produce.

5. Keep farm records. A successful farmer must keep records of his farming. Write every expense of your activities. Also records every income you get from your activities.

6. Buy certified seeds. If you want to have a good harvest you must plant good seeds. Get seeds from recognized seed sellers in the country. Avoid getting seeds from other farmers.

7. Conduct soil testing and water testing. You need to do soil testing to know nutrients levels of your soil before you start farming. Also conduct water testing when you want to do irrigation.

7. Link with other farmers. Get in touch with other farmers who are same venture with you or are practicing agribusiness. This will help you exchange information.

8. Get in touch with professionals. Every subcounty has agricultural extension officers. Get hold of them. Ask them questions. Let them visit your farm.

9. Get information. Get as much information as you can from books, TV, radio, newspapers and other source of information. Attend agricultural seminars and shows.

10. Have business plan.
