Have checked the recent statistics report on the number of 9 to 5 dropouts in kenya specifically and the number is huge I dont know if it should scare or excite me.Young people don't want to be employed but rather employ and create the job opportunities.

Alice Riang'a was murdered this week. 20 years old. University student. Gone.
And before anyone types "she should have been careful" — let me give you the actual numbers because clearly we are not paying enough attention.
📊 170 women were killed in Kenya in 2024 alone. That's the highest number ever recorded. A 79% jump from 2023. One woman every other day.
📊 Between September and November 2024 alone — more than one woman was killed every single day.
📊 Over 1,000 female murders have been documented in Kenya since 2016.
📊 75% of those killings were committed by someone the victim already knew. A husband. A boyfriend. A family member.
📊 The Nairobi Women's Hospital receives 4,000 gender based violence cases every single month.
And the government? They formed a task force. A working group. Made promises about ending GBV by 2026. Yet here we are in 2026 and women are still being found in forests.
Life has no manual. When Alice left home for university she wasn't chasing a "flashy lifestyle." She was chasing a degree. An education. A future. The same thing we all tell our daughters to go get.
This is not about individual choices. This is about a country that keeps burying its women and calling it a trend.

20 years old. Second year student at JOOUST. Pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Science.My cousin.

Today I spoke to her brother directly and confirmed — a Tanzanian gold trader has been arrested in connection with her murder.
She had a whole life ahead of her.
All I am asking is simple. Say her name. Share this post. Do not let Alice become just another story that trends for a day and disappears.
The family needs justice. Alice deserves justice.
