Breaking News: Ex-MP Millicent Omanga Declines President Ruto's Appointment!

In a surprising twist, former Nominated Senator Millicent Omanga has turned down President William Ruto's offer to serve on the Nairobi Rivers Commission. While many were eager to see her join the team tasked with restoring Nairobi’s rivers, Omanga cited personal reasons for her decision. Despite this, she expressed deep gratitude for the consideration and reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Nairobi’s environmental efforts in other ways.

Honored as I am to be considered, my current commitments make it difficult to take on this role. However, I fully support Nairobi's environmental restoration goals and am willing to help in any way I can," Omanga said.

But what does this mean for Nairobi’s rivers and the ongoing restoration plans? Will her decision impact the commission’s progress?

Lawyer Morara Kebaso set to face charges of creating a disturbance likely to breach the peace, following an incident at the Bomas of Kenya during a public participation event for the impeachment of Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.

According to the charge sheet, on October 4 at Bomas of Kenya in Langata Sub-County, Nairobi, Morara, along with others not present in court, allegedly caused a disturbance by uttering provocative words "Kufa Dereva, Kufa Makanga".
