THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Friday 13th June 2025)

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, that will I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to inquire in His temple.” Psalm 27:4 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 164th DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

Today marks another weekend of the month that marks the second half of the year. I give God the glory for keeping us alive and bringing us to this special time of the year.

With what I have always seen over the years, some of the conmen we call God’s men and women, would be busy this month organizing what they call midyear deliverance services and programs, with many of them aimed at polluting the souls of men and feeding themselves from it.

I think it’s important to affirm what the Bible teaches about the church. The Bible teaches that there is a false Church parading itself as part of the true Church, and Heaven has launched an attack against it using certain voices on earth.

Sometimes people confuse this battle of the LORD and start joining issues with those the LORD is using to fight the false church; you hear them give warnings to this army of the LORD; warnings that are based on carnality and all forms of religiosity without knowing what the LORD is doing through His army.

They use words like, “stop pulling down other Churches to establish yourself.” This is nonsense. No one can pull down the Church of Jesus Christ. It is established firmly on the rock and will crush whoever tries to crush it. However, God can commission any one to pull down synagogues of Satan called churches.

In the days of the Bible, God called Jeremiah to pull down things He has not permitted and plant those He has permitted (Jeremiah 1:9-10).

Jesus Himself said, “every tree (ministry or spiritual leader) that my Heavenly father has not planted, will be uprooted” (Matthew 15:13). John the Baptist said, “the axe is laid down on the root (beginning) of the tree. Every tree (spiritual leaders) that is not bearing fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire” (Matthew 3:10). This is what Christ in doing right now!

There is a false Church, made up of heretics and falsehood parading itself as the true Church and confusing the harvest and sending souls to eternal damnation.

THESE ARE SOULS JESUS SHED HIS BLOOD FOR AND HE WANTS THAT TO STOP.

You see, when people call everything that cries the word “Jesus” the body of Christ, they are being unfair to the LORD. The body of Christ does not comprise of the likes of Simon the sorcerer, Balaam and Beelzebub, Baal and Ashtoreth, Bar Jesus, or any false apostles or false prophets and teachers.

Preachers or churches of this class are not part of the Body of Christ.

Also, if you say who gave us the authority to judge, you are not being fair because the Bible has already judged and given us the identity of who they are. The Spirit of GOD is only bringing it to the attention of this generation using our lips, hearts and minds.

Sadly, our generation is one generation that does not know the difference between the true Church and the false Church. Understand that, if the true Church is sick Jesus will heal it, but if the false Church presents itself as the true Church, Jesus will attack it.

That is the difference. That is why you find true preachers who missed their ways listening to some of us and repenting, and others attacking what the LORD is doing with such words and even adding the “David did not touch Saul” thing to it.

Come to think of that, whenever I hear such things, I feel deeply sorry for my generation. These good people forget that God killed Saul be himself, which is a whole message on its own.

You see, nobody God is using today to identify the false church, and its activities is touching Saul. None is cutting off his garment and presenting to him to prove any innocence like David did. God is only raising His voice against deception and falsehood parading itself as the Body of Christ like He did in Bible days, using end time Jeremiahs, Ezekiels, Peters, and Pauls.

HOWEVER, IF I WERE SAUL, I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED DAVID TOUCHING ME THAN GOD KILLING ME,

The reason is because it is a fearful thing to fall into the hand of the LORD. The Bible says.

“So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the LORD;

Therefore he killed him, and turned the kingdom over to david the son of jesse.” 1 Chronicles 10:13-14 NKJV

Some of these good people who use the DAVID-NOT-TOUCHING-SAUL thing, do not know they are weakening the voice of the LORD against the false Church. I read that portion of the Bible when I was first confronted with it in 2001 and saw what I never saw in my life.

I discovered that though David did not touch Saul with his hands, he touched him with His fiery words – sentences on his evil works.
The most amazing aspect of this story is, GOD honored David’s words on Saul. Here are two occasions where David touched Saul with his fiery words. In the first occasion, David said,

“Moreover, my father, see! Yes, see the corner of your robe in my hand! For in that I cut off the corner of your robe, and did not kill you, know and see that there is neither evil nor rebellion in my hand, and I have not sinned against you. Yet you hunt my life to take it.

LET THE LORD JUDGE BETWEEN YOU AND ME, AND LET THE LORD AVENGE ME ON YOU. BUT MY HAND SHALL NOT BE AGAINST YOU.

As the proverb of the ancients says, ‘Wickedness proceeds from the wicked.’ But my hand shall not be against you.

After whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A flea? Therefore let the LORD be judge, and judge between you and me, and see and plead my case, and deliver me out of your hand.” 1 Samuel 26:11-15 NKJV

YOU CAN SEE THE SENTENCE DAVID PASSED ON SAUL HIGHLIGHTED IN CAPITAL LETTERS IN THE SCRIPTURE ABOVE.

It says, “let the LORD judge between you and me, and let the LORD avenge me on you. But my hand shall not be against you.” Did you see something there? That was a sentence passed over Saul for his evil works. In simple terms, David handed Saul over to be killed by God, that was tougher than touching him. In the second occasion, the bible says,

Then Abishai said to David, “God has delivered your enemy into your hand this day. Now therefore, please, let me strike him at once with the spear, right to the earth; and I will not have to strike him a second time!”

But David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against the LORD’s anointed, and be guiltless?” David said furthermore, “As the LORD lives, the LORD shall strike him, or his day shall come to die, or he shall go out to battle and perish. 1 Samuel 26:8-10 NKJV

This very sentence came to pass verbatim on Saul. The last verse said, “AS THE LORD LIVES, THE LORD SHALL STRIKE HIM, OR HIS DAY SHALL COME TO DIE, OR HE SHALL GO OUT TO BATTLE AND PERISH.”

The LORD struck Saul, and the man died in Battle as David’s sentences said (1 chronicle 10:1-14).

I grew up to discover that it is extremely dangerous for THE APPOINTED of the LORD to ask the LORD to judge between him and an EX ANOINTED of the LORD who is out to kill him. It will destroy the ex-anointed. That was how Saul was destroyed.

However, that is not what is happening right now. It is not what the LORD is doing now! I admonish you to join what the LORD is doing now. Do not take God’s battle against the works of the antichrist, as some David touching Saul thing. If you do, you will be either defensive or involved in dark religion.

Understand that when Jesus scattered the table of the money changers, even the blind Pharisees did not see it as a David touching Saul thing. Please, know what the will of the LORD is. We are in an uncommon season. This is the hour of Zion’s recovery.

Stop joining the army of Satan to weaken the voice of the LORD. Join us in fighting the battle of the LORD to expose the false church and deliver those trapped in it. That is what is written in the volume of the book for the End Time Army of the LORD in our age and time. Amen!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY

“Likewise, son of man, set your face against the daughters of your people, who prophesy out of their own heart; prophesy against them, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “Woe to the women who sew magic charms on their sleeves and make veils for the heads of people of every height to hunt souls! Will you hunt the souls of My people, and keep yourselves alive?

And will you profane Me among My people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, killing people who should not die, and keeping people alive who should not live, by your lying to My people who listen to lies?”

‘Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: “Behold, I am against your magic charms by which you hunt souls there like [h]birds. I will tear them from your arms, and let the souls go, the souls you hunt like birds. Ezekiel 13:17-20 NKJV

THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM
TODAY’S DEVOTION (Thursday 13th June 2025)

“Do not fret because of evildoers, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity. For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.” Psalms 37:1-5 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 163rd DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

This is the day the LORD has made, we shall rejoice and be glad in it. Oh, how much He loves us. He loves us more than we do ourselves. He loves us with perfect love, so perfect that there are no number of sins He cannot forgive. No ungodly man or woman who runs to Him, that he cannot transform.

His love is the reason for the survival of humanity, especially those who call upon His name. The Bible says:

“As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him. For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust.” Psalms 103:13-14 NKJV

You cannot serve this kind of God, and your enemy have you for dinner. He will always come for you. I think God can be sentimental when dealing with His kids sometimes. He can be sentimental about us. He pities those who fear Him, because he knows our frame.

Come to think of it, He knows so much about us that no one else knows, yet He still loves us. That is how perfect His love is. But it is not fertility for a life of sin and wickedness and will never be.

His love is a fertility for the recovery of willing sinners back to righteousness. It is the fertility ground for repented souls to become reformed.

That is why if you fall into sin, He does not just rush to condemn you because sinners are condemned already, He checks your heart. He will check if you are repentant and willing to sin no more or are just remorseful, and regretting what you did because you were caught or are facing the consequence?

He shows us mercy based on what He sees we will do with His mercies if released to us! While people will be talking about your acts, God will be looking at your heart, to see if there is a ray of repentance, a hate for what you did, or a willingness to go and sin no more.

HE WILL ALSO CHECK IF THE HUMILITY TO SUBMIT TO HIS CHASTISEMENT EXISTS IN YOUR HEART IF YOUR SIN OR WRONGDOING NEEDS CHASTISEMENT.

He does all these things so that we will not be part of the breed Heaven does not allow to take root on earth, but we remain the breed of the upright. The Bible says,

“For the upright will dwell in the land, and the blameless will remain in it; but the wicked will be cut off from the earth, and the unfaithful will be uprooted from it.” Proverbs 2:21-22 NKJV

If God does not allow the wicked to take root on earth or remain, how much more their expectations. That is why it’s not safe to build your expectations outside His perfect will for your life.

Let us share some light on expectations, you cannot be living an ungodly life and expect good things to be happening to you. Ungodly living is a seed that brings a harvest of pain, sorrow etc. If you are not living a godly life, do not dream of seeing the things that God may have spoken to you come to pass.

Also learn to use the love of God available to us to change your ways.

Talking about seeing our expectations come to pass, believers are told to sow this seed or sow the other one, and do this or that, to bring their expectations to fruition. But it is important to note that there is no place in the Bible where a man took his carnal expectation to God through prayer, fasting or sacrificial giving to a so-called preacher, and then God rubber stamps it with a miracle.

Never!

Indeed, our devotional text today screams “no” to that. A major Highlight in it says,

“Trust in the Lord, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:3-4 NKJV

Sadly, when people quote or preach from this scripture, they forget the first parts and just log on to the lasts sentence that says, “He shall give you the desires of your heart,” and that is the sentence upon which every failed expectation in Church today is built.

We forget that the heart of a man that has not been processed and filled with the Holy Spirit is desperately wicked.

GOD DOES NOT GRANT THE DESIRES OF SUCH A HEART.

When the Bible says “He shall give you the desires of your heart” it does not mean God will grant us whatever we desire or fulfill whatever we expect that He fulfill.

It simply means, if we do everything that precede the “heart desire” sentence in Psalm 37:1-5 (trusting in the LORD, doing good, dwelling in the land or place of His will for our lives, feeding on God’s faithfulness, and delighting ourselves in Him) the Spirit of the LORD in us will shape what our hearts should desire and align it with God’s will.

In other words, God will grant us what our hearts should desire. It is the desires He grants our hearts to desire that will be granted, not the ones we conceive of ourselves. I hope you understand me!

The heart desires that are not the desires He grants our heart to desire will never be granted. That is why everyone’s life expectations must be built on what God grants the hearts to desire for them to come to pass.

There are more truths to glean from the text. The last part of our devotional text says, “Commit your way to the Lord, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”

This does not refer to our own carnal ways but the very ways and plans of the LORD that we have adopted and made our ways and plans. Those are the ways or plans to commit to the LORD in prayer if we want our expectations to come to pass.

So, from all these scriptures it’s clear that God does not want man to be seen because man was not originally sourced in man. Man was sourced in God. God wants God to be seen in man. He does not want man to be seen in man. I hope we all understand that Bible truth.

He never designed that to happen, hence did not design that our carnal expectations to be fulfilled. He only designed expectations built on divine desires (that are granted to our hearts to desire) to be fulfilled.

If you are worried that some expectations you have for the year have not been fulfilled, I guess you know why. It is my prayer that walk in the light of this word, lead a godly life and source your expectations from God for the rest of the year. Amen!!!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY

“Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked schemes to pass.

Cease from anger, and forsake wrath; Do not fret — it only causes harm. For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

For yet a little while and the wicked shall be no more; Indeed, you will look carefully for his place, but it shall be no more.

But the meek shall inherit the earth, and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth.

The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword.” Psalms 37:7-14 NKJV

THE CRY OF THE SPIRIT DEVOTIONALS – BY RICHARD E. S. TAKIM

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Wednesday 11th June 2025)

“Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” Matthew 5:7 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 162ND DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

There is a generation that specializes in frustrating the mercy of God.

I used to be part of that generation. Sometimes I still behave like one. God will warn me of things, but my humanity will do something different, resulting in His mercies not being able to prevent in my life what He sent it to prevent.

But there is a worse generation than this; it is the generation that God calls “vessels of wrath.” This is the generation of those who have no heart or desire to respond positively to God’s mercy in any way. They do not make use of it to turn from wicked ways and do the right things.

They return evil for every good God has done to them, even to the point of becoming le****ns and gay.

They call the killing of unborn babies’ “evacuation” and promote the right of those who desire to do so. If you look at the Church, you see the same generation taking its place from the pulpit to the pew. But God is not willing that any should perish, but that all of us should come to repentance!

When we began this month’s devotional, we did share that God’s Mercy is not just a need but a seed. Those who do not understand that will take His mercy for granted and end up being grinded. They will not make use of His mercies properly but will rather turn it into a fertilizer for sin and wickedness.

That is why you find a young lady who aborts the first Child successfully, going to abort the second and the third without even thinking of repentance.

You find men on the same bloody part doing it over and over. You find people that God has shown mercy getting involved in many other wicked deeds, simply because they experienced no immediate consequence for resisting God and continuing in their wickedness.

YOU FIND SOME OF US IN CHURCH, MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE BECOME CALLOUS AND HARDENED TO GOD’S WORD AND WAYS.

You find us doing that simply because of God’s mercies that are upon our lives: you find us not thinking about His severity. Sadly, so many in church today have lost sense of God’s severity.

A man once said to an evangelist that he will commit so much sin and get God so angry that when he dies and appear before Him for judgment, God will be so angry that in a bid to throw him into hell, he will land in heaven. That is how depraved many have become.

We need to understand that when God show a man mercy, He expects something in return and that thing is not money or an offering. What God expects in return is repentance! We see this all through the scriptures. The most common of the scriptures is the story of the woman caught in Adultery. The Bible says,

“Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to Him a woman caught in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to Him, "Teacher, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.

Now Moses, in the law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what do You say?" This they said, testing Him, that they might have something of which to accuse Him. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with His finger, as though He did not hear.

So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first."

And again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. Then those who heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning with the oldest even to the last. And Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, "Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?" She said, "No one, Lord." And Jesus said to her, "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more." John 8:3-11 NKJV

Often when this story is told in Church, the preachers major on the part that says “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first" because of our lack of willingness to live a righteous life. We major in the minor because many are living in sin and not ready to be rebuked or corrected.

BUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS STORY SO LONG AS THE MERCY OF GOD IS CONCERNED, IS THE LAST PART.

Jesus looked up and said to the woman, neither do I condemn you “go and sin no more.” That was a seed of Mercy sown into her life to reap a harvest of repentance. If God was not interested in a harvest of repentance He would not have charged her to go and sin no more.

You see grace and truth in action here. Grace told her “Neither do I condemn you.” Grace does not condemn. Grace imparts a man to do truth. That is why I tell people if you say you are under grace but live in sin you are not under grace but under grass.

So, grace said to her “neither do I condemn you.” But Truth said to her, “go and sin no more.” Truth urges sinners to repent and rebuke them when they repeat their sins instead of repenting from them. Truths will tell you not to repeat your folly, and grace will “impart” you not to repeat it.

Truth urges but grace enables. That is why a balanced gospel will be full of grace and truth, not grace alone and not truth alone. Remember Jesus came full of grace and truth.

But, to many Christians today, when Jesus said to that woman caught in adultery “neither do I condemn you, go and sin no more” it was a divine approval for wicked conduct. They do not see, the command “go and sin no more.” They only see, “neither do I condemn you.”

Hence when you rebuke them for sins they are secretly or openly involved in, they scream at you saying, “you have no right to condemn me, we are all sinners.”

Under such resistance my response is usually this: “we are not all sinners? If we are still all sinners, then Christ died in vain, and the Holy Ghost is not on earth.” Some of us have been blood washed and enabled by grace to obey the word of truth and righteousness.”

THIS ADULTERATED GRACE MENTALITY IS THE GREATEST KILLER OF MOST CHRISTIANS.

But if we begin to see God’s mercy as a seed, we will have the revelation to return the harvest. Repentance is the first harvest God expects from us as beneficiaries of His mercies. The next is living “a life of forgiveness and mercy” towards others. That is what we want to close this devotional with.

Our devotional text says, “Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.” There is this parable of the unforgiving servant that might be of help to us today. The Parable makes it clear that an unforgiving spirit always leads to bo***ge.

It reveals why many in church today are in bo***ge and shows us that if God show a man mercy, apart from repentance from sin, He expects that man to extend same mercy to others who needs his mercy as well. The man God may have shown mercy will undo it if he withholds mercy from those who needs it from him the way he needed it from GOD. The Bible says,

“Therefore the kingdom of heaven is like a certain king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants. And when he had begun to settle accounts, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents. But as he was not able to pay, his master commanded that he be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and that payment be made.

The servant therefore fell down before him, saying, 'Master, have patience with me, and I will pay you all.'

Then the master of that servant was moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt. "But that servant went out and found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii; and he laid hands on him and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'

So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.

So when his fellow servants saw what had been done, they were very grieved, and came and told their master all that had been done.

Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me.

Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you?' And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

"So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses." Matthew 18:23-35 NKJV

If you look at this scripture, you will discover that two people ended up in prison. The one that refuses to extend mercy to the other and the one he withheld his mercy from. Jesus said God will do the same to us if we withhold mercy from people who have offended us.

The truth is God has delivered many to spiritual torture because they refused to extend mercy to their fellow men. The Bible says “And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.”

Maybe you are wondering as a child of God why your life has been full of torture and your prayers not being answered.

Maybe you are wondering why you are going through this and that despite your prayers, fasting and giving. Maybe you or some prophets have blamed all your problems on some voices and demons crying against you from your village, coming to sleep with you at night, or even some generational curses.

You have pointed accusing fingers at everyone and everything except yourself. Now, start looking inward!

Is there someone you have refused to forgive? It could be your father, your mother, your sister or brother. It could be the man who used and dumped you, or the woman who destroyed your entire life and disappeared? Could it be your uncle or friend? Could it be your boss?

Maybe all your prayers have been that they “die by fire” instead of forgiving them, as GOD has said.

Maybe they knelt down and begged you in genuine repentance asking you to show them mercy, but you refused. Concerning the unforgiving servant, the Bible says, “So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you all.' And he would not, but went and threw him into prison till he should pay the debt.

That could be what is really crying against you in the spirit and not what your fathers did. Child of God, that could be why your life has been so torturous – with nothing working - no marriage, no ministry, no business, no company retains you in a job, no education, no good social life, etc. you are just full of pains.

I believe the message of today’s devotional has been passed. May the LORD use these words to improve your walk and talk with Him in Jesus precious name! Amen!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR THE DAY!

“Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse. Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.

“Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.

Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord.

“Therefore "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; If he is thirsty, give him a drink; For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:14-21 NKJV

TODAY’S DEVOTION (Tuesday 9th June 2025)

"Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.
But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.” Exodus 23:20-22 NKJV

WELCOME TO THE 161st DAY OF OUR YEAR OF VICTORY

The greatest expectation of the righteous in every generation has been the glorious appearing of Jesus Christ or their home-going to meet the LORD. We consider it a great day because it is the very day that we will step foot in Heaven to see the LORD face to face and receive rewards for our services to Him while in this life.

That is why you find the righteous in every generation spending each day preparing for their eternal home-going; working very hard with the LORD to execute the great commission so that when they stand before Him in the next life, they will have something to present to Him and He in turn will welcome them with the famous eternal greeting “well done thou good and faithful servant.”

This world is not our home, my friend. We who have been redeemed by the LORD are not of this world. We belong to the ages to come – we belong to a world beyond this world. The kingdom of the KING we all worship and serve is not of this world.

That is why even when the world is not fair to us, we just look at it in pain and wish it gets to know the LORD! Yes, because we are not of this world our King has angels around and His Holy Spirit gave us the chance to guide us through the paths of life so that we can safely go through this life and fulfill His purposes for our life before our time on earth is over.

He said in our devotional text; "Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared.

Yes, His angel and His Holy Spirit are to protect us as we follow the paths of eternal life. In the days of the Bible, the word an Angel, referred to the LORD in His pre incarnate form, and His Holy Spirit that guided the people of Israel through Moses.

TODAY THE ANGEL IS THE POST RESURRECTED CHRIST AND HIS HOLY SPIRIT GUIDING US IN OUR HEARTS AND THROUGH HIS BLESSED WORD THE BIBLE.

As they were expected to do so we are expected to obey Him. We are not expected to rebel against Him. The word says: “Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.”

One of the greatest requirements of redemption is obedience. Understand that after we have met the LORD, the next thing we are expected to do is to spend the rest of our lives on earth obeying His words and submitting to His blessed will, nothing else.

If we do not do that, we will slip back to our unsaved state and loose our salvation – something the false grace gospel says is impossible.

Friend, everyone who is familiar with the story of King Saul in the Bible knows that Obedience is always better than sacrifice. Everyone who has ever fulfilled their destinies in the Kingdom of God obeyed God implicitly. They did not argue with God like Saul, they obeyed Him.

Obedience is the force that helps God’s children to participate in Kingdom ventures and do great things with the LORD. If we do not live a life of obedience, we will live a lower life on the face of the earth and come into things that even prayer cannot redeem us from.

It is obedience that will help in making us whet God created us to be on the face of the earth. Without Obedience there will be no actualization of our callings, gifting, or potentials in Christ Jesus. There will be no fulfillment of God’s promises in our lives.

That is why a people who do not obey God do not amount to anything in Life. There will be stagnancy, failure and all kinds of darkness in our lives if we live a Christian life that lack obedience to the voice of God.

IN FACT, THE BIBLE EVEN MADE IT CLEAR THAT WE WILL MAKE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR GOD TO FIGHT OUR ENEMIES IF THERE IS NO OBEDIENCE IN OUR FAITH.

You must wake up this morning to understand that we make our enemies stronger than us if we do not walk in obedience. Not walking in obedience is called rebellion. One of the most costly things in the Kingdom of God is rebellion. A major line in our devotional text says:

“...But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.”

Yesterday’s devotion was about God’s Spiritual Feeding program. We learned that proper spiritual feeding program comes with a season of God’s mercy on men. However, if we do not obey the word that we are being fed with, the feeding is useless.

Yes, the Bible says we should be doers of the word and hearers only. Doing the word connotes obedience. No matter how rich what we are being fed with is, if we do not respond to it with an obedient heart, we will waste the food. It will never do us any good.

When we obey the word that we are being fed with, we will be clothed with the blessing of our obedience, making sure we are not naked in the Spirit. The Bible instructs us to live lives that when we are found, we will not be found naked. Child of God, there are all forms of nakedness, the one that rebellion creates is the most dangerous.

If you are in a good church, where the word of the LORD is rich, but you are not living a life that obeys God, you will be like that guest in the parable of Christ who was in the banqueting hall but had no wedding garment. The wedding garment of a child of God is created by the words of God he or she obey. That is why the Bible calls it, “the righteous acts of the saints.”

Yes, our obedience is creating for us a beautiful garment in the spirit’s realm.

IT GIVES US CLOTHES THAT CAN ATTRACT GOOD TO US IN THE NATURAL REALM.

That is why the Bible says no good thing will God withhold from those who walk uprightly. Do not forget, an upright walk is a walk of obedience. When it creates that beautiful garment over your life in the spirit realm, it will begin to attract good to you in the natural realm.

It does not matter what anyone says, understand that when your Christian life lacks obedience to the will and ways of God, it will be a sinful life called Christian life. That is how ugly a Christian life that lacks obedience to the will of God look like. The Bible describes it this way:

“They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.” Titus 1:16 NKJV

How can God be a defender of a Christian man or woman who fits this description. How can the angels of God encamp around such people.

How can God’s holy oil flow on their heads to put them ahead of their enemies. How can God turn their curses into blessings and build a shield of protection around them. How can God be an enemy to their enemies. Our devotional text presents the impossibility of all that. It says,

"Behold, I send an Angel before you to keep you in the way and to bring you into the place which I have prepared. Beware of Him and obey His voice; do not provoke Him, for He will not pardon your transgressions; for My name is in Him.

But if you indeed obey His voice and do all that I speak, then I will be an enemy to your enemies and an adversary to your adversaries.”

This scripture and others in the Holy Bible clearly teach that if we take total obedience to the will and ways of God from our walk and talk with Him, we have nothing left to call relationship with God. That is the message of today’s devotional.

It’s a New Day!

MAKE THIS SCRIPTURE AN ADDITIONAL MEDITATION FOR YOU TODAY!

Why do you call Me, Lord, Lord, and do not [practice] what I tell you? For everyone who comes to Me and listens to My words [in order to heed their teaching] and does them, I will show you what he is like:

He is like a man building a house, who dug and went down deep and laid a foundation upon the rock; and when a flood arose, the torrent broke against that house and could not shake or move it, because it had been securely built or founded on a rock.

But he who merely hears and does not practice doing My words is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation, against which the torrent burst, and immediately it collapsed and fell, and the breaking and ruin of that house was great. Luke 6:46-49 AMP
