I am just praying for this Country. I have been praying for a whole lota time now, for some months and more, maybe years...
Today being Sabasaba, I decided not to post anything Maandamano. I was in prayer and meditation and just indoors with my family. (One day I'll tell you about how my business in cbd survived the looting of the 25th June) ππ
Now, late in the afternoon, from around 4pm, there were a lot of chaos, shootouts and noise around my hood. At some point, the noise got too much and I got to the door to just peep. I suddenly saw someone throw teargas through our gate to just adjacent our home's door. Some people were shouting and banging our gate (i think they were fleeing the police)... π±π.
My kids ran to hide in their bedroom. My husband, house manager and I ran to fetch water to attack the teargas. In seconds, our home was full of teargas. We were chocking ππ. We were so helplessly chocking πππ. My kids were screaming π± π.
Remember, we were indoors, at the best place we thought would be safest, HOME. πππ
From 3pm to now, all I hear in our estate are gunshots. I don't know what is happening ππ.
I don't know when we got to this as a country.
My Country. Kenya. I have never been this worried about us. Losing lives in minutes. Losing businesses in seconds. Children being shot at, and "tear-gased" inside their safe homes. What I have witnessed today is NOT maandamano. We have taken off to a whole notha level of inhumanism. I am in loss of words... ππ
All I can do is PRAY. I pray that this Country will not go to the dogs. We will not sink. We will be safe. The economy will thrive. We will have employment opportunities for our youth. Our businesses shall thrive. We shall be at peace again. Soon, God shall reign over our Country and everything shall be okay. God shall dethrone the evil and enthrone the righteous. God shall restore the glory of this Country again. My heart bleeds for my Country Kenya.. ππππ please be safe guys. I love you ALL. PEACE. PEACE. PEACE.
