POEM

"Deserted Dreams: A Critique of an MP's Abandonment"

In the land of promises and hope,
There lived an Mp, a slippery slope.
Electorates believed his words so true,
Voted for change, for dreams anew.

With fervent hearts, they cast their votes,
In his hands, they placed their hopes.
He vowed to bring development near,
But now, it's clear, he didn't hold it dear.

Ignored their calls, their heartfelt pleas,
Turned a blind eye to their desperate needs.
The promises made, like dust in the wind,
For their trust, he had simply sinned.

In ivory towers, he chose to reside,
While his constituents suffered, cast aside.
The roads were broken, the schools in decay,
Their dreams fading, day by day.

Oh, Yussuf Farah, you've betrayed their trust,
In you, they saw a leader so just.
But now, your name is tainted with shame,
For you played a cynical political game.

They tirelessly voted, believing your lies,
But you left them with tears in their eyes.
The change they yearned for, a distant dream,
In your neglect, it would seem.

So, let this be a lesson, a story told,
Of an MP who left his people cold.
Promises are empty without action and heart,
In the end, it's the constituents who'll depart.
