Drama Unfolds: The Explosive Robert Alai vs Fred Machoka Showdown!
Buckle up, Kenya! The social media streets are on fire once again.
Robert Alai allegedly dropped a bombshell on his page, claiming that veteran journalist Fred Machoka is living with Hechaivi (HIV). The accusation hit like a thunderbolt.
Instead of letting it slide, a furious Fred Machoka dragged Alai straight to court. In response, Alai threw down a wild gauntlet: he vowed to surrender all his property if Fred could prove in any hospital that he is negative.
Fred wasn’t playing games either .he slapped Alai with a massive Ksh 60 million defamation suit.
But here’s where the plot thickens and the plot twists…
Alai has now flatly denied owning the page that posted the damaging statement. According to him, the page is run by a mysterious “stranger.” He even claims he’s not even active on social media.
Yet, strangely, Alai has never reported any impersonator. Not once.
The page remains proudly under his name, unverified, and untouched. Many are now wondering: Is this a clever legal shield or a calculated move?
The ball is now in the DCI’s court. Kenyans are demanding answers:

Arrest the person running “Robert Alai’s” page with the same lightning speed they use on ordinary citizens.
Drag them to court.
Force them to delete the page since Alai himself says it doesn’t belong to him.

As the story goes, Alai allegedly chose not to verify the page — making it almost impossible for anyone to officially link him to the posts.

Grace Wakhungu, aged 79, was convicted by the Anti Corruption Court over a Ksh 300 million maize importation scandal involving the National Cereals and Produce Board.

Through her company, Erad Supplies and General Contractors, she and co accused John Waluke were found guilty of inflating payments and using forged documents to defraud the NCPB. She was sentenced to 69 years in prison or a fine of Ksh 707.7 million.

Facing imprisonment at Lang’ata Women’s Prison, her family quickly mobilized funds and raised over Ksh 800 million to settle the fine. Former Vice President Moody Awori and family reportedly contributed Ksh 135 million, while Mary Okello of Makini School wired Ksh 28 million.

The Wakhungu family raised Ksh 197 million, Dennis Awori, former ambassador to Japan, contributed Ksh 15 million, and additional family fund drives locally and abroad added Ksh 236 million. Contributions reportedly came from asset sales, savings, and support from friends.

The total amount raised not only covered the 707.7 million fine but exceeded it, effectively keeping Grace Wakhungu out of prison.👀
