His rise is significant and could even lead to a dramatic shift in alliances:

1. Rigathi's Growing Influence in Mt. Kenya

Mount Kenya has always been a critical voting bloc, and Gachagua has increasingly positioned himself as the region’s political kingpin. By consolidating his base, sidelining rivals, and pushing a strong "shareholder" narrative, he’s building a personal brand that could rival even President Ruto's in terms of regional loyalty.

2. Internal Tensions in Kenya Kwanza

His growing ambition and boldness have reportedly unsettled senior Kenya Kwanza figures, including those close to the President William Samoei Ruto . Some see him as overreaching, possibly even positioning himself for a future bid either with or without UDA's blessings.
