Torture leaves visible scars — and deeper, invisible ones. It silences dissent, suppresses the press, and controls marginalized communities.
🎙️ Women journalists do more than expose these crimes. They:
Give voice to survivors
Investigate state-sanctioned abuse
Face threats, trauma — and sometimes torture themselves
Connect gender, trauma, and justice
Their reporting moves us from silence to solidarity — and from pain to public pressure for change.
Today, we honor the survivors. And we stand with the journalists who risk everything to ensure their stories are not buried by highlighting such stories done by brave Members.

On this , we remember that widowhood isn’t just personal grief — it’s often systemic injustice.
Across Africa and beyond, widows are denied rights, stripped of property, and silenced by stigma.
But women journalists are helping change that— uncovering hidden stories, challenging harmful traditions, and amplifying widows’ voices.

Women journalists are on the front lines of truth, shining a light on the stories that matter. From refugee camps to resettlement communities, their storytelling gives voice to displaced women and children, uncovers injustice, and promotes dignity.
Let us honor both the courage of refugees and the women journalists who bring their stories to the world.

For too many women and children, war does not end when the last gun falls silent.
Its legacy lingers — in survivors' trauma, children born of war, and fractured families.
Women journalists play a vital role in honoring these survivors by uncovering the truths too often buried in silence and shame. Their storytelling helps the world see, hear, and remember.

As we shine a light on , we reflect on how COVID-19 didn’t just overwhelm hospitals—it stretched our minds to the limit. In 🇬🇭 Ghana, the cracks remain visible —rising anxiety, overstretched services, and the weight carried by burned-out professionals.
🔹 Access is still limited
🔹 Stigma still silences many
🔹 Care is still underfunded
